I applied for a job at a school yesterday, and the school's motto was "Onward and Upward". LOL! You will probably only get this if you've seen the Astro Boy movie.

On the weekend I went to the Soundwave Festival. That was fun. I got to see Paramore and Placebo, and some other bands. My Chemical Romance were going to play, but didn't end up coming because the lead singer was sick. Hayley Williams from Paramore has such cool hair. I wish I had hair like that- its such a bright red colour.

I just finished making some chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm....

I thought I would add a new journal entry. Its been hot here in Sydney lately. I have been reading Death Note the manga. I wanted something to read, and thought I would read that since I have seen the movie (the live action one). It was really good! Actually I have been trying to find some of Tezuka's mangas such as Black Jack or the original Astro Boy one, but I can't find any. The only ones that I can find are later volumes and I wanted to start reading them from the beginning.

I was just looking at the Japanese website for Astro Boy: [link] and I saw that it said the release date for the DVD is the 2nd April 2010. This is from the Japanese Amazon site [link] . I don't know if the English version is coming out at the same time, or later, because this is just about the Japanese version. The English website doesn't say anything about the movie DVD. I would like to watch it in Japanese but only if it has English subtitles.

Wow! Its 2010 already. I hope this year brings happiness and prosperity to everyone. It seemed not long ago that it was 2000.
I have been busy this week with Christmas and New Years parties. Also, I'm going to a hens night tonight. That should be interesting as I haven't been to a hens night before.

I'm still working on ~theloveablettes request for "Astro and Uran". I also have another artwork that I started last year, but haven't finished.

Christmas has been fun. I got a kimono for Christmas and La Roux CD. I love the kimono. It is pink with birds on it and flowers. Also, I have been to see a couple of movies last week. I went to see "Old Dogs" and "New Moon".

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you have peace and happiness this holiday season. What is everyone doing for Christmas? I am going to have some relatives over for dinner tomorrow night- Grandma, Aunt and Uncle and little cousins, which should be fun. It has been very hot here in Sydney lately.

I have had a request from ~theloveablettes (Rachel) to paint a picture of Astro and Uran. This is going to be in watercolour and I will probably get it done by January sometime.

It combines the black and white 60's series with Japanese writing, with the 2009 CGI movie. I'm not sure what language the song is in though. I think it might be in Japanese.
